New Year new plans
Welcome to 2025! Let's talk about Prism.
Hello!
We hope your New year has started of the way you wanted it to.
For this Year, we want to have a path forward both to structure ourselves, and also to give you a continuous stream of contact from us.
Planned for this year:
- Planning of app, release schedules, Beta and Alpha Handling
- The first form of a functional app for iOS and Android
We have thought about what we want to achieve this year, and ultimately for Prism once it launches.
Everyone on the Team are passionate Apple device users, which is why we originally had planned to do an iOS and Web launch before anything else, and take Android Devices with us later down the line.
After a whole bunch of fighting over it, we ultimately decided to go out of or comfort zone, and aim to have Prism work on all three major Platforms (Web, iOS, Android) at the same time. Possibly even Windows and MacOS.
We are a very small development team, which is why this will set Prism back another year or so. That gives us enough time to make it right, and don’t pull a Cyberpunk or No Mans Sky on you.
One thing that became clear to us is that Prism is a huge undertaking. One that we are willing to spend a lot of time and money on, because we truly believe in the vision.
That is why we want to take it slow. Give every single line of code a lot of thought, and most importantly we want to involve you, the people that support us by giving a thumbs up whenever we show something about this project we’ve dreamed so long about.
You are what drives us forward, and we are so thankful for that.
Now, while we don’t have an exact Roadmap for this year yet, we will roughly try to keep the following points and meet those deadlines:
by April: We want the Design for the app to be fixed. No more experimenting what looks good and what doesn’t, by then we want one consistent UI.
by August: late stage of development for the Alpha, basic chat functions and groups are in the app and work without obvious bugs and glitches.
by December: Almost Alpha. At that point we want the app to be in a presentable state, meaning all of you will be able to Sign into prism for the very first time
That’s the plan.
We know we are a bit late, it’s already February but we had some internal structuring to do.
We want your opinion tho:
If you want, write us on [email protected] and tell us what you want to see, wish for, or think about Prism and our plans for it.
Change the Internet with us.
We want to be a different company.
We want to be community driven. You tell us what you want, we see if it aligns with our vision, if not we find compromises. We develop this app not only for us, but mainly for you.
Thank you for reading,
See you soon :)
